Day 5 - Runcorn to Wrightington

The Everbright Charity Walk & Cycle Challenge has now reached the halfway point.

Today the team travelled from Runcorn to Wrightington, completing the fifth stage of the journey as they continue their 200-mile route towards Cumbria.

Reaching day five means we’re officially halfway through the 10-day challenge and the team’s energy and determination continue to be incredible to see.

A huge well done to everyone taking part and supporting along the way.

We'd also like to say a big thank you to The Wrightington Hotel for their donation.

Huge congratulations on hitting the halfway mark! Tackling a 200-mile route over ten days takes some serious stamina, especially around day five when the legs really start feeling it. It is fantastic to see local support like the Wrightington Hotel stepping up for Breast Cancer Now too. I was recently reading a community feature on https://englandderbyshire.co.uk/ about local charity challenges and it is always so inspiring to see groups coming together for such an important cause. Best of luck to the entire team on the rest of the journey up towards Cumbria!

جلب الحبيب

Halfway through a 200-mile walk is no small thing, and hitting day five in Wrightington must feel huge for the team. I tracked the route myself on Meowdoku and it looks like a tough stretch. Good luck reaching the fundraising goal for Breast Cancer Now.

Halfway there already — that Runcorn to Wrightington leg sounds like a proper test of endurance, especially with the weather we've been having up north. Huge respect to the whole team for keeping the energy up on day five, and it's great to see local businesses like The Wrightington Hotel getting behind the cause. Speaking of halfway points, I've been trying to document my own training progress with photos, but my phone's camera makes everything look like it's been through a bad quality image maker — the blurry shots actually kind of suit my tired legs at this point. Keep pushing for that Cumbria finish line!
